At Casa Mãe children of any age are of course welcome – in a couple of rooms it is possible to add an extra bed or cot for small families to sleep in the same room. Some room typologies however don’t have the layout for that.

Please note that we offer the breakfasts for the children; however the baby cot or extra bed has a cost of 15eur per day.

The typologies with capacity to receive an additional bed or baby cot for children under 12 are the following:

 - Deluxe

 - Cabanas

 - Esplanada

 - Horta

 - Heritage *

*The heritage suite is the only room with the capacity to receive two extra beds or cots.

Please note that none of our rooms was designed to receive additional beds or cots, and most of them are romantic in their design with open bathroom and tub in the room. Note also that the addition of extra bed takes up some circulation space to the bedroom area.

Due to those restrictions and for your comfort, extra beds are only available for children under 12 years old.

We have a triangle shaped pool of c. 15m long for our hotel guests, located in front of Casa Mae, next to the cabanas and 150m from Jogo do bola.  The pool is easily accessible with its gates most of the time open while we don’t have a dedicated team to ensure the surveillance of the pool.  We strongly recommend parents with children to watch out their children when playing around the pool or in the gardens to ensure their safe behaviour.

At our restaurant Orta, our chefs are very attentive to cater for their customers’ wishes and are happy to adapt the menu or dishes to specific requests.  We don’t have any kid menu per se but if requested in advance, the cooking team is fully available to prepare special and specific menu for children according to their tastes and availability of produce.  Just let us know in advance !

Although we really like animals, and we even have our own farm with hundreds of chickens, pets are not accepted at the hotel.  However, our team will be happy to assist you in finding a pet SPA close by if you wish to travel with your pet company.
